Jacques Kallis hit an unbeaten half-century to guide South Africa to a five-wicket win over Australia in the third and final Test. Resuming on 264 for four, the Proteas lost only Ashwell Prince (48) on the penultimate morning as they knocked off the 71 runs needed for victory.
Kallis, who had shared a 99-run stand with Prince, was unbeaten on 61 at the end when captain Mark Boucher sealed victory with a six off Mark Waugh. South Africa's total of 340 for five ensured they gained some consolation for defeats in the first two Tests.
