History was made in Pretoria today when after three days of rain, play finally got under way on the fifth and final day of the 5th test between South Africa and England. South Africa declared their first innings this morning on 248 for 8. For the first time in test match history, England then forfeited their first innings and South Africa their second, leaving England a target of 249 for victory. England reached the target with five balls to spare making 251 for 8 to win by two wickets. South Africa took the series by two matches to one.
