Cork's Laura Hayes has been crowned the PwC GPA Camogie Senior Player of the Year at the PwC Camogie All-Star Awards in Croke Park.

Cork claimed eight All-Star awards in total, while Glen Dimplex Senior All-Ireland Championship runners-up Galway won five All-Stars.

Tipperary and Dublin both came away with one award each for Premier captain Karen Kennedy and Sky Blues defensive ace Claire Gannon.

Cork’s Ger Manley was named Camogie Manager of the Year, recognising his outstanding leadership and achievements with the county.

Having only been appointed in November 2023, he continued to lead a strong Cork team to a three-point win against Galway in the final, making it their 30th All-Ireland senior camogie title, and their second in a row following their 2023 success under Matthew Twomey.

The 2024 PwC Camogie Soaring Stars team is made up of teams from the Premier Junior and Intermediate Championships, and is compiled by a dedicated All-Star nomination committee to celebrate the high performance and commitment of these extraordinary players.

The team includes six Cork players, four Kilkenny players, two Laois players, and one each from Offaly, Kerry and Tipperary.

Kilkenny's Danielle Morrissey was named the PwC GPA Camogie Intermediate Player of the Year while Laois’s Clodagh Tynan was named the PwC GPA Camogie Premier Junior Player of the Year.

Speaking at HQ, Camogie Association president Brian Molloy said: "I would like to congratulate all of our nominees and winners of this year's PwC Camogie All-Star awards.

"The level of talent and dedication in camogie is truly outstanding, and these awards are a tribute to the tremendous effort put in year-round.

"Huge sacrifices are made by each and every one of our players day in day out."
