Tipperary begin their All-Ireland championship without the services of midfielder Jill Horan, who has retired from inter-county camogie.
A relatively young outfit, the Premier County face a tough away assignment to Derry, who have impressive performers in their ranks, including Meabh McGoldrick and forward Karen Kielt.
Derry should have too much firepower for Tipperary and expect them to collect their first points of the championship.

Offaly vs Clare, 2.30pm, St Brendans Park, Birr
Clare hit the ground running last weekend with a good win over Derry and Colm Honan’s charges will be aware that a win over Offaly will put them in a strong position to reach the knock-out stages.
Captain Eimear Considine is back in action after recovering from a knee ligament injury sustained in the League final.
Claire McMahon hit 0-07 last weekend, (0-04 from frees) while Deirdre Murphy and Fiona Lafferty also impressed.
Offaly suffered a heavy defeat to Kilkenny and need a win to keep their championship hopes alive.
Elaine Dermody is their chief scoring threat, from play and frees, and Clare will need to remain defensively disciplined.
