Cork brought down the curtain on the intercounty camogie scene at the weekend when they added the All-Ireland Intermediate championship camogie title to their collection for 2002 by beating Antrim 3-06 to 1-10.

Played in very good conditions, both sides served up great camogie and the crowd were on their toes with three minutes remaining and only two scores dividing the two sides.

Cork, who last won the title in 2000, were grateful to Valerie Maher for two first half goals which saw Cork lead 3-01 to Antrim's 1-05 at the break.

The Munster side looked very determined in the second half and they knocked over 0-05 in a row before Antrim's twenty minute free.

However, Antrim refused to give in and with three minutes remaining, they stormed back with another Jane Adams free and then Carla Doherty sent over a second point to narrow the deficit to three points.

Gráinne Connolly added another point for Antrim but Cork held out for the win.
