Charleville celebrate sixth title

Charleville collected their sixth Munster Colleges Junior 'A' Championship title in a row when they defeated St Marys Nenagh 6-13 to 0-01 on Saturday. The reigning All-Ireland champions were quick off the mark when Cork minor and Charleville star Emer Watson had the ball in the back of the net twice within in the first three minutes. Further points from Sinead McAuliffe, May Coleman, and Tina Shanahan put them in a comfortable lead of 3-08 to 0-01 at the break, with the Nenagh point coming from Mary Ryan.

The second half saw Charleville romp away with victory and they now go on to the All-Ireland semi-final on March 2 when they will take on the Ulster champions, either St Patrick's Keady or St Marys of Magherefelt, who will meet during the week.
