Antrim collected their first All-Ireland Intermediate Camogie title at the weekend following their emphatic 3-10 to 0-05 victory over fellow Ulster side Derry. Two first half goals from Grace Mc Mullan left Jim Nelson's side ahead 2-03 to 0-04 at the break. Many scoring chances were missed by the Oak Leaf county in the opening half, and they were punished hard in the second half when player of the match Jane Adams knocked over a total of four points for Antrim.
A fine Antrim defence restricted Derry to a solitary point in the second half, with Katie Mc Auley knocking over Derry's only score just before the end. Elsewhere, Cashel advanced to the All-Ireland club quarter-final when they over came Granagh-Ballingarry of Limerick in the Munster Final 0-09 to 0-06, with all three Grogan sisters, Claire, Helen and Linda getting on the score board.
