Born in Nelspruit and a former South Africa Under-20 international, Schoeman joined Edinburgh from the Bulls in 2018 before qualifying for Scotland on residency.
The stocky loosehead prop has since established himself as first choice for Gregor Townsend's side, and has won 42 caps since making his debut against Tonga in 2021, scoring a try in the 60-14 win.
Schoeman is a first time Lion in 2025.
