Two-time Olympic champion Kellie Harrington has been named in Ireland's 88-strong team for the Four Nations boxing tournament in Scotland next month.

Harrington retired following the 2024 Paris Games but last October announced her intention to return to the ring. She had an exhibition bout against the Netherlands' Chelsey Heijnen in Dublin before Christmas, then won her 12th Elite title in January after a resounding 5-0 verdict over Kellie McLoughlin at the National Championships.

She'll be joined in Scotland by 2025 World Championships bronze medalist Patsy Joyce, 2024 World Youth champion Siofra Lawless, reigning European Under-17s champions Kristian Jubani and Kalib Walsh, and 2025 European Under-15 champions Pa Casey and Roisin Hegarty.

The tournament returns after a hiatus, with fighters from Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales facing off against each other.

The tournament will take place at Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility, Motherwell from Thursday 11 June to Sunday 14 June.

It includes boxers at all age categories from Under-15s to elite.

Boxing Ireland President Anto Donnelly said: "I’m proud to see the Four Nations tournament revived and Ireland competing once again alongside England, Scotland and Wales in such an historic competition with such a long tradition.

"To field a team of 88 athletes is a huge milestone and reflects the strength and depth of boxing throughout Boxing Ireland’s clubs. Tournaments like this are so important for development, giving our athletes the chance to gain international experience and test themselves against quality opposition."
