Irish fighters Daina Moorehouse and Dean Clancy both missed out on medals at the World Boxing Cup after quarter-final defeats in Brazil.
Moorehouse lost out to Alua Balkibekova of Kazakhstan on a unanimous decision.
All five judges scored the 51kg fight 30-27 in favour of the 2025 world champion in Foz Do Iguaca.
Later in the day, Sligo native Clancy also made his quarter-final exit when he was beaten in a split decision by Brazil's Yuri Falcao in their 65kg fight.
Two of the judges awarded the bout in Clancy’s favour, 29-28 and 30-27, but three sided with the local fighter, scoring the clash 30-27, 29-28 and 29-28.
