The line-up for the 2026 Elite Championship finals has been completed following a night of semi-final action at the National Stadium on Dublin's South Circular Road.
The lightweight division produced the best of the action with Adam Hession of Monivea BC slated to take on Paris Olympian Jude Gallagher of Tyrone's Two Castles OBA in the decider.
Both men were unanimous decision winners tonight against Adam Kiely of Saviours Crystal BC Waterford and Gavin Ryan of Ratoath Golden Gloves respectively.
Hession's bout stopped before the end of the second round owing to a cut over the right eye of his opponent. Gallagher needed to give his all in round three in order to score the decision against a rapidly improving Ryan.
Jason Nevin of Olympic BC Mullingar will meet another of the Paris Olympic team - Dean Clancy - in the 65kg final.
Nevin was a 4-1 winner over fellow Westmeath man Luke Hall of Rochfordbridge while Clancy edged out Dublin’s Roy Colgan of Avona BC 3-2 also saving his best for the final minutes of the contest.
Earlier, Daina Moorehouse qualified for the women's 51kg final and will take on Caitlin Fryers of Immaculata Belfast.
Moorehouse had to be at her best in order to see off the challenge of Shannon Sweeney from St Anne's BC, Mayo.
Fryers was an all-the-way winner against Niamh Early of Unit 3 in Naas.
Jenny Lehane of DCU BC will defend her 54kg title against European medalist Robyn Kelly of Ballynacargy.
Lehane beat Nicola Clyde with Kelly a unamious winner against Niamh Keogh of Olympic Mullingar.
And Olympic heavyweight Jack Marley of Monkstown BC Dublin will fight Garyn McAllister of North Down in tomorrow night's final. Marley easily accounted for Dublin Docklands’ Wayne Rafferty in the final contest of the night.
