Anthony Cacace will have the opportunity to become a two-time world champion on Irish soil in March after confirmation he will face Liverpool's WBA World Super-Featherweight kingpin Jazza Dickens in the 3Arena in Dublin.
Cacace is a former IBO and IBF champion in the division.
The Belfast boxer opted to give up the more valued IBF crown after he was mandated to take on Eduardo 'Sugar' Nunez.
Cacace went on to face England’s Leigh Wood in Nottingham, which he won by technical knockout.
Dickens (36-5, 15 KOs) makes the first defence of the belt on 14 March after a resurgence in his career, which culminated in beating Turkey’s Albert Batyrgaziev last summer in an interim world title fight.
Dickens was promoted to outright champion after Lamont Roach was stripped of the belt last month.
Also on the card, Dublin’s Pierce O’Leary will put his undefeated record on the line against the formidable Mark Chamberlain.
The pair will battle for the vacant IBO World Super-Lightweight championship.
It is hoped it can be the first of many homecoming bouts for O’Leary in his bid for world honours.
"We are starting 2026 with a bang," said the promoter of the event, Queensberry chairman Frank Warren.
"Dublin has a rich boxing history, and there is no better time than St Patrick’s Day weekend to bring world championship boxing back to the 3Arena.
"Jazza Dickens vs. Anthony Cacace is a phenomenal match-up between two of the best in the division, and Pierce O’Leary finally gets the big homecoming he deserves against a serious threat in Mark Chamberlain."
The full undercard to be announced in the coming weeks with more Irish fighters expected to feature.
