Katie Taylor says headlining an all-female card at Madison Square Garden this summer will be the "proudest moment" of her decorated career.
The undisputed super lightweight champion will face Amanda Serrano in a trilogy fight at New York City's iconic venue on Friday, 11 July.
Taylor won the first fight between the pair in 2022 by split decision in what was a historic event as the first women's fight to headline MSG, before the 2012 Olympic champion edged to another victory at AT&T Stadium in Texas last November.
Speaking at an occasionally hostile press conference on Wednesday night alongside Serrano, Taylor first spoke of her pride at headlining a landmark event.
"This is insane. Looking back at my whole career, this is the proudest moment of my whole career right now, headlining a show on an all-female card. Not just a female card but a top quality female card. This is one of the best women's sporting events in history," she said.
Taylor added: "This is still the biggest fight in boxing I feel and I think as far as I know, this is the first trilogy in the female fight game so we're creating history once more.
"The first two fights were absolutely epic. They were the most exciting fights of the year and I'm pretty sure the number three is going to deliver again.
"But I just want to be involved in the biggest fights possible and I just want to continue to create history in my sport and this is another legacy-building fight for myself and Amanda, and I am 2-0 against Amanda but I just wanted to prove myself once more and what an amazing opportunity that I have on July 11th again."
But after Serrano suggested that it was she who had really won both of their previous meetings, Taylor disputed that assertion in a combative back and forth, adding that the Puerto Rican was being "delusional" about the matter.

"I think it's a matter of principle that the challenger shouldn't be dictating the terms of the fight," said the Bray boxer.
"I am 2-0 here and I'm in the driving seat. And that's only right. At the end of the day, Amanda needs this fight a lot more than I do.
"I have a long history of big fights against big names and a line of people queuing up to fight me for a payday."
Addressing Serrano directly after the latter interjected, Taylor added: "I was the deserved winner and here we are again having a silly conversation because you're trying to create a narrative that you were robbed in that fight. That's not ok, Amanda."
Taylor also emphasised that the trilogy fight would be the final inflection point in the rivalry with Serrrano.
"I do plan on finishing it here. I plan on going 3-0 on July 11th and I hope there's no complaints over the next decision after July 11th."
The 38-year-old also played down the possibility that the fight could mark a last hurrah in her illustrious career.
"I guess you can ask me that question after July 11th but I feel great right now, I feel fresh right now," she said in response to a question from the press pack.
"I just can't believe that we're headlining an all-female fight card in MSG. This is the greatest moment of my career. It's amazing."
