Aaron McKenna has landed a major slot on the biggest fight in the UK this year with former world champion Liam Smith his opponent.
Monaghan boxer McKenna (25) will feature on the undercard of the high-profile Chris Eubank Junior vs Conor Benn fight at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on 26 April.
McKenna is unbeaten in 19 bouts and put in a career-best performance in defeating Jeovanny Estela in Japan last year.
That bout was part of a tournament in the Asian country which has been consistently delayed and led to McKenna fighting just twice since the summer of 2023.
Smith (36) is a former WBO super welterweight champion, part of the quartet of boxers from the renowned Liverpudlian family, and was last seen in a defeat to Eubank in September 2023.
He had stopped Eubank in four rounds in his previous fight earlier that year.

It was unclear if he would continue his boxing career but the veteran has signed with Matchroom Boxing to form part of a huge pay-per-view card.
He has won 33 of 38 fights and represents a major step up in class for the Smithborough man.
The bout will give McKenna a massive boost in profile and the chance to move further towards world honours.
