Gráinne Walsh has set her sights firmly on qualifying for LA 2028 after getting a first taste of life as an Olympian in Paris last summer.
Having booked her spot at the 2024 Games via last June's final qualification tournament in Thailand, the Tullamore, Co Offaly native went on to make her Olympic debut weeks later in the French capital.
Walsh ultimately bowed out of the Paris Games at the last-32 stage following a split decision defeat to Hungary's Anna Luca Hamori in the women's 66kg category.
That experience and the early exit from the competition has fueled her desire to have another go at the Olympics when the Los Angeles Games roll round in three years' time as she told RTÉ Radio 1's Morning Ireland on Tuesday.
"To finally get there, to experience it with my family and I had a lots of friends and cousins who came over (to Paris), so I look back on it with amazing memories," the 29-year-old told Darren Frehill.

"I'll keep training away and hopefully I can keep improving and we'll see us in LA."
The first staging point for the high performance unit of Irish boxers on the long road to LA will come this spring with the World Championships in the Serbian capital, Belgrade.
"It's been a bit stop-start since Paris but having something to aim for again is giving everyone great motivation," said Walsh.
"I'm so looking forward to getting back between the ropes and getting things moving."
