Sean Mari and Gabriel Dossen will each box for at least a bronze medal after victories today at the European Championships in Armenia.
Flyweight Mari defeated third seed Omer Ametovic, taking the contest on a split 4-1 decision, and will return to the ring on Friday evening where another victory would assure him of a place in the last four.
Dossen followed that up with a unanimous victory over fourth seed Mofid Rami Kiwan of Bulgaria in the 75kg class.
It was Dossen's second victory of the week and he's also due to fight again on Friday.
However, team captain Adam Hession suffered a 4-1 split decision loss to Belgium's Vastile Ustoroi in the 57kg division.
JP Hale received a bye into the last 16 in the lightweight 60kg division and faces number three seed, Arslan Khatev from Finland for a place in the quarter-finals.
