Both Kellie Harrington and Aoife O'Rourke have secured gold medal bouts after unanimous victories in their respective semi-finals in the Strandja tournament in Sofia.

Olympic gold medallist Harrington made light work of Kazakhstan's Rimma Volossenko, earning a straightforward unanimous victory.

Four of the judges scored the fight 29-28 in favour of the Dubliner, with the remaining judge awarding Harrington a 30-27 victory.

Harrington will face the winner of the clash between Serbia's Natalia Shadrina and Russia's Nune Asatrian in tomorrow's final.

Earlier, Roscommon fighter O'Rourke became the first Irish representative to reach a final in Sofia with a similarly authoritative performance.

O'Rourke, who also competed at the Tokyo Olympics, delivered a dominant performance against Russian opponent Anastasia Shamonova, winning 30-27 on all the judges' scorecards and upgrading her bronze medal to a silver, at least.
