London's Copper Box Arena is set to resume hosting the Olympic qualifying event for European boxers next April.

The tournament's original schedule was from 14-24 March this year but it was postponed after three days because of the coronavirus pandemic, which also led to the Tokyo Games being put back by 12 months.

All of the weight categories for both men and women were halted at either the last-16 or quarter-final stage, and the event will pick up where it left off when it runs from 22-26 April, 2021.

Ireland's Michael Nevin and Aidan Walsh are due to be in action, as their qualifying hopes were put on hold after the IOC suspended the qualifiers.

Kellie Harrington will also be hoping to book her place at the delayed games.

The event is set to comprise of 178 bouts over the course of the five days with 176 boxers taking part and 77 qualification slots for Tokyo available although, at this stage, it is expected to take place behind closed doors.
