The sound of leather on canvas - and not much else - will echo around London's Copper Box Arena from Monday, with the confirmation that Olympic boxing qualifiers taking place in Hackney will continue behind closed doors due to the threat posed by the coronavirus pandemic.
The decision to close access to the public to the event, which started on Saturday and is scheduled to conclude on Tuesday week, was taken by the IOC Boxing Task Force "due to to the changing situation with coronavirus and concerns for public, athlete and volunteer welfare".
Emmet Brennan, George Bates and Kirill Afanasevall advanced to the last 16 in their divisions on Sunday, with Christina Desmond the only Irish fighter to suffer defeat.
All the bouts are live streamed on the Olympic Channel.
