Boxer Errol Spence Jr has been released from hospital but charged with driving while intoxicated after a car crash last week.
"Errol Spence Jr was charged with DWI, misdemeanor B," a Dallas police spokesman told the PA news agency.
"Mr. Spence has been released from the hospital and will need to address those charges."
The WBC and IBF welterweight champion was taken to intensive care after the crash in Dallas, Texas in the early hours of October 10.
The 29-year-old was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from his Ferrari when it flipped multiple times.
He reportedly only suffered broken teeth and road rash in the incident.
Spence added the WBC belt to his IBF title last month when he beat fellow American Shawn Porter in Los Angeles and is unbeaten in 26 fights as a professional.
