Paddy Barnes' professional career lies in tatters after he tasted defeat for the third time since departing the amateur ranks, with Jay Harris ending the bout with a body shot in the fourth round of their flyweight fight at the Ulster Hall in Belfast.
The Welshman had already dropped Barnes a round earlier after connecting with a vicious left hook to the body of the two-time Olympic medallist.
Barnes summoned up all his grit and opened up the right eye of his opponent with a clinical combination, but referee Phil Edwards called an end to proceeding in the fourth as Harris added the IBF Inter-Continental flyweight title to his European crown.
