Eddie Hearn has aired his fears about any "wriggle room" around an agreement with Amanda Serrano to fight Katie Taylor.

Taylor will face Delfine Persoon with the chance to become the undisputed lightweight championship of the world on 1 June at Madison Square Garden in New York on the under-card of Anthony Joshua's fight with Jarred 'Big Baby' Miller, though Miller's participation has been thrown into doubt after the American produced an "adverse finding" in a drug-testing sample on Wednesday.

Taylor already has the WBO, IBF and WBA straps to her name and will look to add the WBC title and Ring magazine belt to the collection against Persoon, who is undefeated in nine years.

Should Taylor come through that, she will then take aim at Serrano in what Hearn describes as "a mega-fight".

"I mean, we have an agreement in place," promoter Hearn told iFL TV.

"Amanda Serrano and Lou DiBella, the promoter, have signed a contract to fight Katie Taylor.

"But I’ve seen a few comments [from Serrano] lately saying, ‘Oh, you know, if the deal’s right, I’ll fight Katie Taylor’. You’ve signed the deal.

"So we’ve got to get that clarified because the reason I’m giving Serrano fights is because she’s signed to fight Katie Taylor. So I want to make sure there’s no wriggle move.

"We’ve got to give [Serrano] another fight - maybe on the Golovkin card [on 8 June]. And then, fighting Katie Taylor - that’s what we want.

"Our plan for the year has always been [Rose] Volante, [Delfine] Persoon and Serrano. That’s a big year. Champion, champion, mega-fight."

Hearn once again aired his admiration for Taylor and said she's relishing the chance to strut her stuff in the Big Apple.

"It's on - undisputed world championship. I'm so pleased for Katie. This is everything to her. It's a very, very tough fight [against Persoon]. I think she's 46-1, something like that. This is it. This is everything.

"I’m really proud of Katie, and I’m really proud that we get to put this fight on at MSG on a night like that.

"You know there’s going to be 20, 21,000 people in MSG, right? There’s going to be 14,000 Brits. Sling the Irish in as well, and the atmosphere is going to be unbelievable. Unbelievable."
