Paddy Barnes will fight on the same card as Michael Conlan on St Patrick's Day with the two Irish fighters in action at Madison Square Garden.
Conlan had already been confirmed to fight Mexico's Ruben Garcia Hernandez in the headline event and Barnes has now been added to the card as he fights Texas boxers Oscar Mojica.
Conlan welcomed the additions of Barnes to the St Patrick's Day event and said: "It's fantastic to have Paddy on the card with me. He’s been looking to get on one of these St Paddy’s Day cards since my first one so to finally have him on is great.
"I think the Americans will love him - everyone who meets him does!
"Me fighting at Madison Square Garden on St Patrick’s Day is becoming a tradition and that’s always been the plan since I first signed with Top Rank."
Conlan puts his unbeaten record on the line against the well-respected Mexican featherweight as he again seeks to test himself and makes his way up to world rating in the division.
Experienced Garcia has won 24 times throughout his career and will be hoping to continue his return up the ranking following his defeat to current bantamweight champion Nonito Donaire, who defeated Ryan Burnett in 2018.
Conlan (10-0) is the reigning WBO inter-continental featherweight champion, having beaten Jason Cunningham in Manchester in December.
The Irish Olympian said: "I’ve watched him a few times now and he’s an experienced fighter who know his way around the ring. He went the full distance with Donaire last year so he’s obviously tough.
"He’s a little different to what I’ve come across before. He comes with more of a Mexican style and will be in front of me trying to take my head off at times. It’s just what I’ve been looking forward to."
