Irish boxers Ray Moylette and Niall Kennedy both preserved their unbeaten records in New Hampshire last night as Mayo-born Moylette defeated Daniel Sostre, while Wexford garda Kennedy drew his bout with Joel Caudle.
Moylette won his eleventh straight bout on a unanimous points decision against Puerto Rican veteran Sostre.
The 28-year old Islandeady lightweight, who won gold for Ireland at the European amateurs in Ankara in 2011, is now 11-0 in his professional career.
He spoke to Game On on RTÉ2fm last month about his dream of an Irish title fight in Mayo later in the year.
Kennedy, meanwhile, remains unbeaten but failed to win for the first time in the pro game against US fighter Caudle.
The Gorey heavyweight boasted a 100% winning record since embarking on his professional career with a win over Moses Matovu in the Red Cow Moran Hotel in 2015.
But the 34-year old's bout with Caudle, seven years his junior, was deemed a majority draw with one of the judges scoring the fight for Kennedy.
