Tyson Fury has challenged heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua to a charity rowing race.

Fury is on the comeback trail after over two years out of the ring and is set to announce a promotional deal for his return shortly.

The former champion has continually spoken about Joshua on social media with talk of a fight in 2019.

However, in the mean time, Fury wants to take on his rival in a different sport.

He said in an Instagram video: "I challenge AJ to a sporting challenge for a charity of our choice. £1,000, winner takes all for choice of charity, for a 2,000 metres Concept2 rowing challenge.

"I would say I’m a better athlete than you Anthony and I’m willing to prove it. 2,000 metres is the usual distance for a race, indoors, you and me, one-on-one.

"The challenge is out there. The ball is in your court."
