Kevin McBride, the Monaghan boxer that famously beat Mike Tyson, has been named honorary Irish captain for three meetings between the USA and Ireland this month.
Boston-based McBride, who stopped Tyson in the former world champion's last fight in Washington in 2005, will lead out Team Ireland.
Ring legend "Irish" Mickey Ward is honorary American skipper for the treble header.
Both nations meet in Boston next Monday, Springfield on 15 March and New Hampshire on 21 March.

The panel will be drawn from last month’s National Elite Championships.

Former Irish head coach, Billy Walsh, now chief second with the USA, has named a top team for the series.
Both nations are building toward the qualifiers for Tokyo 2020, with 2018 being of significant importance for female boxers with the European and World Women’s Championships scheduled for Poland and New Delhi in May and November.
On the last occasion that the World Women’s Championships was held in New Delhi, current WBA lightweight champion Katie Taylor won Ireland’s first World Elite gold in 2006.
