Katie Taylor admits nerves are increasing ahead of her WBA lightweight title challenge against Anahi Esther in Cardiff on Saturday.

The Bray boxer will work out in Cardiff today in front of the media after landing a title shot in what will be her seventh professional bout.

The fight is on the undercard of Anthony Joshua’s heavyweight title defence against Carlos Takam.

Over 80,000 fans are expected with Taylor’s fight set to take place on the middle of the card.

Taylor told Sky Sports: "It's very exciting. When I first sat down with Eddie (Hearn), we always planned to box for a world title in the space of a year, so we are definitely on track.

"It's just very exciting. I am expecting a tough fight. It's a bit more intense and a bit more nerve-racking for this fight.

There's a lot on the line but these are the fights that get the best out of me.

"These are the kind of fights I have dream of. I can't wait for it."
