Clonmel’s Shauna O'Keefe has won her lightweight bout at the European Women's Boxing Championships in Sofia, overcoming Anita Rygelska of Poland to advance to the quarter-finals.
O'Keefe is now one bout away from a medal.
Grainne Walsh and Christina Desmond won their bouts yesterday to reach the same stage at welter and middleweight categories, but Lauren Hogan was beaten.
The next fights take place on Saturday and Sunday.
