Jamie Conlan cruised past Czech opponent Patrik Bartos in Cardiff on Saturday night on the Boxnation undercard at the Ice Arena.
The Belfast man, brother of Ireland's Olympic hopeful Michael, did the job inside four minutes.
Conlan became Commonwealth super-flyweight champion after stopping Anthony Nelson in the eighth round of a thrilling contest in London last April.
Englishman Nelson failed to beat the count after Conlan dropped him with a left hook to the body.
That was a titanic tussle that left both men bloodied and bruised but there was no such war of attrition in Wales as Conlan had far too much class and power for Bartos.
Twice Bartos was knocked down as 'The Mexican' brought his record to 17-0 in a bout that he controlled from the off.
