Katie Taylor’s Olympic preparations went according to plan in Kerry last night as the London gold medallist secured her second victory over the weekend.
The Bray boxer proved too strong for America’s Queen Underwood, outpointing her opponent over four rounds at the Brandon Hotel in Tralee.
Taylor can now look forward to the upcoming Olympic qualifiers, where the five-time world champion can guarantee her place in this summer’s Rio Games.
Taylor began the weekend in Mallow with a straightforward victory over Serbian Jelina Jelic.
