Michael Conlan, Brendan Irvine and Michael O’Reilly weighed-in this morning ahead of the last-16 stage of the AIBA World Elite Championships in Doha, Qatar.

The trio will be in action in the evening session which begins at 5pm (Irish time).

Irvine and current European Elite champion and team captain Conlan are between the ropes in back-to-back bouts in the second and third contests on the card against Turkish light-fly Muhammet Unlu and Brazilian bantam Robenilson de Jesus respectively.

Unlu claimed bronze at the 2015 European Games after he was beaten by Russia’s Bator Sagaluyev, who controversially beat Irvine on a split decision in the final.

San Paulo-native de Jesus has represented his country at the Olympics on two occasions and is signed with AIBA Pro Boxing (APB).

O’Reilly, the current European Games champion, meets Australia’s Daniel Lewis. The Sydney-born middleweight qualified for Doha after winning gold at this year’s Oceania Confederation Championships. He also won gold at an international tournament in Doha this year.
