It has been confirmed that Katie Taylor will not be appearing on the undercard of Andy Lee's world title fight at Thomond Park in September.
The Olympic champion was being lined up to showcase her world class talent on the Thomond Showdown undercard on 19 September in Limerick but the fight promoters have confirmed that no agreement could be reached with the five-time world champion.
Speaking this morning, Andy Lee's trainer Adam Booth said: “We believe we did everything we could to make this event happen but unfortunately on this occasion, the outcome was not to be.
A spokesperson from Devlin Sports, who was speaking on behalf of Katie Taylor said:"It is with great regret that Katie Taylor will not be taking part on the Andy Lee Undercard at Thomond Park on September 19th.
"We would like to wish Andy all the best."
The main event will see world champion and Limerick native Lee defend his WBO middleweight world title against England's Billy Joe Saunders.
