World and Olympic champion Katie Taylor will not be defending her Irish lightweight title after missing this morning's weigh-in at the 2015 National Elite Championships due to a injury.
Taylor is believed to be recovering from damage to ligaments in her left wrist and is targeting a return in time to box at the inaugural European Games in Azerbaijan this summer, where she has already been named in the squad.
Louise Donohue and Debbie O’Reilly will now contest the final.
The five-time world title winner Taylor has been unopposed at 60kg in Ireland in recent years.
