Katie Taylor and David Oliver Joyce have taken taken two of the top accolades at the Irish Amateur Boxing Association’s annual awards.
Taylor, also a nominee for RTÉ Sport Sports Person of the Year, won her fifth and sixth successive AIBA World and European Elite titles this year.
Joyce, who beat Germany’s Artur Bril in AIBA Pro Boxing in Kazakhstan this afternoon, claimed his third consecutive Elite European Union gold in 2014.
Both were named international achievers at the event in Dublin.
Stephen Donnelly won the Elite Men’s award and Claire Grace won the Elite Women’s award.
