Andy Lee has claimed a second round stoppage victory over Hunagrian Ferenc Hafner at the Phones4u Arena in Manchester.

Lee had Hafner on the canvas in the first round with a hook to the body, but the Hungarian beat the count.

And Lee continued to punish his opponent in the second round, as he put Hafner to the canvas twice. He rose to his feet both times in response, but the referee called a technical knock-out to prevent injury to Lee's opponent.

Speaking post-fight, Lee told the media that he covets a fight with Matthew Macklin next.

"There is nothing official but I want the fight. Hopefully he wants the fight. I think he said he wants it, so let's get it on, there is no need for us not to," he said.

"We're both from Ireland, we're both middleweights, we're similarly rated, we're both in a similar position in our careers. Let's let the best man win."
