Katie Taylor is one of three Irish boxers taking part in the Women's World Amateur Championships in China today.
The tournament, which is the only qualifier for the London Olympic Games, gets underway at 1pm Irish time at the Olympic Stadium in Qinhuangadao.
There are 70 boxers expected to compete in Taylor’s lightweight category with three Olympic places available for European boxers in each weight
Flyweight Ceire Smith and middleweight Sinead Kavanagh are the other Irish involved.
