Res: David Oliver Joyce lost 19-10 to Evaldas Petrauskas (Lth)

1918 McCarthy, of the Oliver Plunkett club calmly sees out the fight and claims a convincing 16-7 victory.

1914 The Irish fighter was forced to take a standing 8 count, but remains very much in control, leading 11-3 going into the final round. Darmos was also given a public warning for spoiling.

1907 McCarthy is in charge at the end of the first round, leading 3-1.

1901 Belfast heavyweight Tommy McCarthy is making his way to the ring now in the last Irish fight of the day.

1731 Barnes is going to London! The Holy Family clubman cruised to victory, again further extending his lead in the third round and claimed a comfortable 17-9 victory.

1726 Paddy Barnes is now just three minutes away from confirming his place at the Olympic games after he extended his lead to 12-6 by the end of the second round.

1722 Barnes has enjoyed a promising start and leads by 5-3 and the end of the opening round.

1719 Paddy Barnes is now in the ring and ready to take on Stefan Caslarov.

1435 Nolan takes the fight by the scruff of the neck and in the end claims, a comfortable four point victory, winning 17-13. He now goes forward to Friday's semi-finals where a win will guarentee his place in London.

1431 Abdullayev has battled his way back into this fight and has cut Nolan's lead to 12-11 at the end of the second round. This fight is too close to call and could go either way.

1424 Adam Nolan has got off to a fine start in his bout against Tamerlan Abdullayev. The Irishman leads by 6-3 after the opening round.

1347 A brave effort but David Oliver Joyce will not be going to the Olympics. He has been beaten 19-10 by Evaldas Petrauskas.

1345 It isn't looking good for Joyce as Petrauskas has taken a 13-6 lead after round two. The Lithuanian coped well with Joyce's change of tactics and picked off some good punches near the end of the round.

1342 Joyce put plenty into that round but he didn't produce enough telling shots as his opponent. Hopefully he can wear him down as the fight goes on.

1340 Joyce is 6-3 down after the first round. Live coverage now on Radio 1.

1338 Frantic start with both boxers producing attacking starts with plenty of punches connecting.  

1335 Joyce is in the ring. Marty Morrissey will be live on Radio 1 in the closing stages.

1330 David Oliver Joyce will be in the ring shortly against Lithuania's Evaldas Petrauskas.

1230 It is another huge day for Irish boxing as the Olympic qualifier continues in Turkey.
