Young Irish boxers settle for bronzes

Ireland's young boxers had to settle for bronze at the European Junior Championships in Keszthely, Hungary today after losing three semi-finals.

Cork's Luke Thomas lost 11-5 to England's Isaac McLeod in the 63Kg and Cavan flyweight John Nevin dropped a 7-4 decision to England's Pat McCormack.

Mayo middleweight Martin Conroy lost out 8-5 to Vasily Tsitsilashvili of Georgia.

All three Irish boxers will be taking home bronze from the 34-nation tournament.
