Katie Taylor eased into the semi-finals of the European Union Championships with a convincing quarter-final win over Marzia Davide in Poland.
The AIBA World and European lightweight champion recorded a 16-5 verdict over the Italian over four two-minute rounds in Katowice.
Taylor, who is aiming for her fourth European Union title in a row, will now meet England's Chantelle Cameron – a silver medal winner at the 2010 European Union Championships in Hungary at light-welterweight – in Friday's 60kg semi-final.
The 19-year-old Northampton native, who reached the quarter-finals of the 2010 AIBA World Championships in Barbados – beat Spain's Jennifer Miranda 19-9 in the quarter-final.
Lynne McEnery, Dervla Duffy and Kelly Harrington will all be involved in quarter-finals bouts on Thursday.
McEnery will be the first between the ropes against French light-flyweight Lidia Boussaida.
Taylor’s win guarantees Ireland at least three bronze medals as Laoise Traynor and Lauragh O'Neill have received byes into Friday's semi-finals.
