A six-strong Irish senior squad departed from Dublin airport this morning ahead of the Shkodra Memorial Cup which gloves off in Tirana, Albania tomorrow.

European Union champion David Oliver Joyce, 2008 European Championship bronze medallists Eamon O'Kane and Ross Hickey, AIBA World Youth bronze medallist Tommy McCarthy and present and ex-Irish senior champions Declan Geraghty and Ryan Lindberg will represent Ireland in the Albanian capitol.

Darren Sutherland, Roy Sheahan and Eric Donovan finished in podium positions at this tournament in 2006.

The Irish squad return home Tuesday.
