Six Irish boxers will compete in the quarter-finals of the 37th European Senior Championships following a hat trick of last sixteen wins at the Greenbank Academy in Liverpool.
Belfast middleweight Eamon O'Kane and big Clonmel heavyweight Con Sheehan joined John Joe Joyce, David Oliver Joyce, Ross Hickey and Ryan Lindberg in the last eight.
All six boxers are now just one fight away from winning at least bronze.
O'Kane staged a stunning comeback in the final round to edge out Turkey's Adem Killiggi 7-6. The Immaculatta clubman will now face Armenian 2008 Olympian Andranik Hakobyan in the quarter finals.
Tipperary heavyweight Con Sheehan meanwhile, followed that up with a convincing 10-2 win over Viktar Chvarkou of Belarus, to set up a 91Kg showdown with Petrisor Gananau of Romania.
Earlier today John Joe Joyce cruised to a 20-3 win over Scottish light welterweight John Tain.
The Irish 2008 Olympian meets Bulgarian southpaw and 2004 European senior lightweight champion Dimitar Stilyanov in the quarter finals on Wednesday with a bronze medal up for grabs.
Stilyanov was beaten in the last sixteen of the 2004 Olympic Games by Amir Khan and was also beaten by Joyce's St Michael's Athy team-mate Roy Sheahan in the semi finals of the 2007 European Union Championships at the National Stadium in Dublin.
Ryan Lindberg and Ross Hickey will both be involved in quarter finals bouts tomorrow, while both Joyce's, O'Kane and Sheehan and David Oliver Joyce will be in action Wednesday.
The preliminary rounds of the Championships are being held at the Greenbank Academy with the finals pencilled in for the Echo Arena in Liverpool on Saturday November 15th.
