Former world champion Scott Harrison has been jailed for two months for assaulting his girlfriend.
He pleaded guilty earlier this year to the attack on Stacy Gardner and a police officer following the apparent suicide of his uncle.
Harrison, 31, from Cambuslang, near Glasgow, was jailed for two months at Glasgow Sheriff Court today.
Sheriff Celia Sanderson said: 'In the circumstances the only sentence I can impose is a a custodial one.'
Harrison, nicknamed The Real McCoy, has won 25 of his 29 professional fights, including 14 by knock-out, and was twice the WBO featherweight champion.
