Katie Taylor got her European lightweight title defence off to a fantastic start with a second-round stoppage of Hrtistina Athanasopoulou in Vejle, Denmark this afternoon.
Taylor, who is the reigning 60Kg World champion, stopped the Greek on the 15-point rule to advance to the quarter-finals.
The St Fergal's Bray fighter will now face a Spanish opponent in the last-eight tomorrow and is guaranteed at least bronze if she wins.
Taylor is targeting her third European title on the trot at the sixth European Women's Championships in Denmark.
