Aodh Carlyle, from the Golden Cobra Club in Dublin, and John Joe Joyce of the St Michael's club in Athy will meet in a special one off trial bout to decide who represents Ireland at light welterweight in the upcoming European Union Championships at the National Stadium in Dublin between 17 and 25 June 17.
The two will clash over four rounds at the Stadium on 9 June and the winner will join the Irish squad for the tournament.
