Irish super heavyweight Cathal McMonagle is guaranteed at least a silver medal at the GeeBee Senior Multi-Nations in Finland following a convincing victory over Scotland's David Hanna in Helsinki.
Donegal native McMonagle, of the Holy Trinity club in Belfast, stopped Hanna, who was born in Northern Ireland, on the 20-point rule in round three.
David Oliver Joyce, from the St Michael's Athy club, also advanced after an impressive victory over Scotland's Darren Traynor.
Joyce stopped the Scot in round three and will now meet Michal Chudecki in today's semi-final.
Golden Cobra light welterweight Aodh Carlyle is out of the tournament however, after he was stopped in round three by European champion Boris Georgiev from Bulgaria.
St Mary's Dublin lightweight Kieran Bates, also bowed out after he was stopped in round two by two-time Polish Olympian Krzysztof Szott.
Heavyweight John Sweeney, from the Dungloe club in Donegal, will be in the ring today for a semi-final showdown with Latvian Raitis Atvars.
And St Saviour's OBA middleweight Darren Sutherland will also be in action today against Poland's Robert Talarek, while Baldoyle flyweight Conor Ahern faces Finland's Toni Hamalainew tomorrow afternoon.
