Former British welterweight champion Neil Sinclair made a winning return to the ring in Cork on Saturday night.

The Belfast boxer stopped his Polish opponent, Arek Malek, in the fourth round of the six-round contest.

Sinclair's next outing will be against Francis Jones at the Point next month.

The 32-year-old hopes to challenge for a European title before the end of the year.

The Walsh brothers, Billy and Pa, both won in front of their home support at the City Hall, while light welterweight Paul McCloskey, Stephen Haughian and  James Gorman all extended  their blemish-free pro records.
