RTÉ Television’s Pro Box Live, which saw Irish Boxer Bernard Dunne win the European Super Bantamweight title, attracted an amazing audience of 416,000 for duration of the bout. 

The audience peaked at an impressive 491,000* during the final minutes of the fight as Bernard Dunne took the European title with a unanimous points decision. 

The bout generated an audience share of 40%* for RTÉ Two which peaked at 52.6%* in the final minutes of the fight. 

Glen Killane, RTÉ Head of TV Sport, said: 'The viewing figures for Saturday night’s title fight prove that Bernard Dunne has captured the public’s imagination and RTÉ are delighted to have been able to bring all of his bouts to the public free to air.

'RTÉ Sport have had faith in Bernard from the beginning and we have no doubt that with his talent and the public’s support he is assured of continued success.'
