Unbeaten IBC Super bantamweight world champ Bernard Dunne will meet American puncher David "Finito" Martinez in his 21st professional fight at the National Stadium this summer it has been confirmed.
Both men will go head to head over ten rounds at the Dublin venue on June 3 as part of a six fight Brian Peters promotion.
California based Martinez, will arrive in Dublin having lost just one of his fifteen pro fights-and that was because of a cut eye- and according to Dunne it will be a tough bout.
"Martinez is a stylish boxer and a typical American fighter in that he likes to roll with the punches and I am expecting a tough ten rounds", said Dunne.
"I am in good shape at the moment, but I will be in even better shape come June as I begin training with Harry Hawkins at the Holy Trinity club in Belfast on Monday".
Meanwhile IBC middleweight world champion Jim Rock meets English ace Lee Murtagh at the Stadium with an Irish middleweight title up for grabs.
Rock will be bidding to make Irish boxing history in June as he also holds the Irish light middleweight, and super middleweight crowns.
Rock said "I don't know a lot about Murtagh at the moment but I will be well prepared as I will be going for a hat trick at the Stadium in what should be a very exciting night for Irish fight fans."
The other big fight of the night sees Peter McDonagh defend his Irish lightweight title against fellow Irish man Oisin Fagan.
McDonagh landed his lightweight belt at the Stadium last January after his fight with Michael Gomez ended in controversary mid way through the fifth round.
Galway born McDonagh says that he proved the pundits wrong against Gomez, and intends to do the same again this summer.
Oklahoma based Fagan, nicknamed "Gael Force" has an won thirteen of his first sixteen fights with seven of those wins coming via knockouts.
Light middle James Moore (Irish Ropes, New York) lightweight Andrew Murray (St Albans, England) and featherweight Paul Griffen (Dublin) will also be on the menu at the Stadium.
Commentating on the June 3rd bill, promoter Brian Peters promised fight fans a "hot summer night's boxing" at the South Circular Road venue.
