Bernard Dunne's coach Harry Hawkins has praised the Dubliner's professionalism ahead of his clash with Argentinean Sergio Carlos Santilian in Italy tonight.

IBC Super Bantamweight World champion Dunne will put his unbeaten record on the line against Santilian over eight rounds.

Thirty three year old Buenes Aires based orthodox puncher Santilian, boasts a record of twenty wins from twenty nine fights with seven of those victories coming via knockouts.

However 26-year-old "Irish Rover", Dunne, is targeting the 20th win of his career (twelve via KO's), and according to Hawkins, he will be confident.

"Bernard is totally concentrated on this evening's fight and his entire focus is on the job at hand and he never lets himself become distracted," said Hawkins.

"That is one of the pleasures of working with him, as he trains and prepares hard and he is very professional in the way he approaches all his fights in a confident and positive manner."

Dunne arrived in Italy on Saturday, for Sunday afternoon's weight-in, and insisted that Santilian must be respected.

He said: "We are not naive as we have done our home work on Santilian and he is a fighter to be respected but I prefer to concentrate on my own game."

"My preparations over the last six weeks have gone very well and I am feeling very sharp and confident. But you can't afford to take anything for granted in boxing."
