Irish Middleweight boxer, Andy Lee is in a confident mood ahead of his professional debut on Friday, March 10 at the Joe Louis Arena, Detroit, USA.
Lee will top the bill in his bout against Nicholson Poulard from Montreal in Canada who has a record of 4 fights, 2 wins and 2 losses.
The Irish boxer has settled in well to life in the United States and the new training surroundings of the world famous Detroit Kronk Gym, home of over 30 world champions.
Twenty-one year old Lee commented "Things couldn’t be any better with my boxing, I'm getting plenty of useful sparring, I can't wait to get my pro career off the ground; and where better than the Joe Louis Arena?”
Legendary Kronk Manager and trainer is delighted with the progress Lee is making: "Andy is performing very well in training and his punches are very sharp during sparring. A boxer's pro debut is very important so we are focused on the job," he said.
Andy Lee is also scheduled to feature on the under card of the Waldimir Kitschko versus Chris Bryd, IBF Heavyweight World Title Fight in Mannheim, Germany on the 22 April 2006.
